This carbon nanotube model kit is a simplified representation of an FET display nanotube. Please note that the model does not glow quite this brightly; it was shot with a digital camera with a 10 second exposure & was illuminated with a pair of 250W halogen lamps.

The perceived effect will vary significantly depending on the light source & the distance from the model to the source. Sunlight or halogen lamps are best but a model positioned right under a simple R20W halogen pot light, will glow perceptibly for several minutes.
