What is Permethrin?

Permethrin is a pyrethroid that works as a nerve toxin on a wide variety of insects. Pyrethroids are synthetic chemicals based on extracts from the chrysanthemum flower. Permethrin is used to control insects and as a treatment for lice and scabies. It is extremely toxic to fish, cats & bees.
