pH 4.5-10 Test Strips for Water, Urine, Saliva
The pH 4.5-10 test strip is ideal for accurate measurment of most foods
& drinks as well as urine, saliva & water-the 1 strip for all your health concerns.
The pH 4.5-10 test strips are an extended version of the 5.5-8 strips and come with triple pads for enhanced pH verification. They
are also useful for science fair demonstrations where better precision rather than the full 1-14 range are needed. This can be very handy
when testing different foods and drinks which occur mostly in this range.
While they cover a narrower range than the pH 1-14 strips the 3 test pads has the better 0.5 pH resolution; with practice, one can estimate 0.25 pH intervals.
Typically only two of the three pads change colour at any given ph level which you match with the closest 3 on the color chart.
The pads on an unused strip are calibrated at ~pH5.75 with the yellow pad at the end of the strip matching the yellow under "pad 1" (bottom of the strip) on
the color chart. Changes can be subtle & appear different under fluorescent, incandescent or sunlight. So, experiments done in the kitchen
might appear a bit different when repeated in a school gymnasium.
Note: These strips come in a special dispenser pack with 100 strips (not the usual 50). The number of strips per pack is approximate.
