Chlorine Test Strips for MRSA, C. difficile

MRSA (methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus) and Clostridium difficile are significant health threats in hospitals and other environments. Tests have shown that C. difficile spores may take 15 minutes of exposure at the 1000ppm level to ensure steriliation. In addition, removal of free chlorine due to organic contamination (blood/feces) can seriously reduce the sanitizing effects of chlorine. As such, to ensure adequate disinfection, much higher concentrations, up to 10,000ppm (1%) chlorine levels are required. These test strips are designed to measure at this high level to ensure adequate free chlorine levels.
