Hot Tub Peroxide Test Strips

Hydrogen peroxide has gradually become more popular as a hot tub and swimming pool disinfectant because it appears to be as effective as chlorine or bromine but without the odor. The appropriate peroxide level has advocates for under 100ppm & others who prefer greater than 100ppm. These peroxide testing strips indicate levels at 0, 100, 200, 300 & 400ppm which we think give hot tub users more options in choosing the concentration they prefer.

Doing a hot tub hydrogen peroxide measurement is easy: simply dip the indicator pad at the end of the strip into the water you want to test and compare to the color chart on the ziploc bag after 30 seconds. Results are accurate to within 10% and are a quick, reliable way to ensure you are protected against harmful germs.

Note (1): Suitable for detection of hydroperoxides and ether peroxides. Polymeric peroxides, which can form in diethylether, are not detected. Organic peroxides, such as di-terc-butyl peroxide, di-cumyl peroxide or terc-butyl perbenzoate, either do not react or react with significantly reduced sensitivity.
