White Light Optical Glass Prisms

The most popular sizes of glass science prisms are the 100 & 150mm (4" & 6") which produce larger rainbow color patterns. Be sure to stand with the sun at your back and hold the equilateral glass prism in front of you, 0.5mm (several feet), away from a wall or some light colored surface to see the best refraction results.

These glass optical prisms are made from high quality BK7 glass which have better dispersion than plastic acrylic) prisms, are free of imperfections such as bubbles, nicks & scratches in the main body of the prism and are guaranteed to be lead-free.

Note: These prisms are made with clear BK7 glass but are still "student" grade. Some may have minor chips along the edges but this has no effect on the optical quality; i.e. they still refract light & produce a clear rainbow spectrum.
