Molymod Molecular Model Sets

Set 62053 is our most versatile Molymod set. It is intended for:

• university level organic and inorganic chemistry
• use in VSEPR theory, stereochemistry, polymer chemistry
• use for biochemistry with 62053bio upgrade.
• open or semi-spacefilling representations
• optional orbitals for VSEPR theory & molecular hybridization

Set 62009EX has different atom combinations from 62053. It is intended for:

• high school AP & college organic & inorganic chemistry
• VSEPR theory, organic & organometallic chemistry
• open representation only
• 6 orbitals included for VSEPR theory

Orbit Molecular Model Sets

The Foundation set is our most basic and economical set. Atoms are less then half the size of Molymod and are much cheaper to make, so you get many more parts for your money.

• builds basic organics: alkanes/alkenes, aromatics, etc.
• builds basic biomolecules: simple amino acids, sugars
• ideal if you have to take just one chemistry credit
• includes orbitals for VSEPR

The Advanced & Class sets have many more parts than Foundation.

• chiral centers; simple carbonyls; enantiomers-isomers
• ring structures; aromatics; polymers; carbohydrates, etc.
• aldehyde; ketone; carboxylic acid; amide; anhydride
• advanced isomerism: all 4 isomers of C₄H₉OH
• reaction mechanisms, cumulated groups
• suitable for university undergraduate studies
• can do biomolecules; especially sugars & fats

Both sets can be augmented with extra Orbit Components.
