Orbit Molecular Model Sets
Orbit molecular model sets are well suited for studies in organic chemistry, biochemistry and lattices. All sets except Foundation include our versatile "wobbly" bonds. Included instructions are not meant to replace textbooks.
The scale using "wobbly" bonds is 20mm=100pm (1Angstrom); with straw bonds, the scale is 30mm =100pm (1Angstrom) |
The Foundation set is for basic structures: alkanes; chiral centers; simple carbonyls; enantiomers-isomers; ring structures; aromatics; VSEPR theory; polymers; carbohydrates, etc.
Advanced sets make diamond, all 4 isomers of C4H9OH, polymers & all carbonyl functional groups simultaneously including: aldehyde; ketone; carboxylic acid; amide; anhydride.


Class organic chemistry model sets make more types of carbonyl, imino & optically active (chiral) compounds,
carbocation intermediates, fluorocarbons, complex ions & for studies in advanced isomerism, reaction mechanisms, cumulated groups. It also includes
enough divalent oxygens to build a limited range of sugars and fatty acids.
Class biochemistry model sets makes fats, simple and complex sugars, amino & nucleic acids, glycerol, steroids, lipids, (poly)peptides
& reaction mechanisms. This set includes a diverse range of parts that also allows for building basic organic & inorganic compounds.

The student lattice molecular model set can build models of the 7 basic crystal systems (but not at the same time) and common
crystal lattice structures such as diamond, graphite, metals, NaCl, zinc blende, wurtzite, ice, rutile. The Class lattice
molecular model set has many more 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 coordinate atoms to build all 7 basic structures at once and many more
and larger structures.
