Rhombohedral-Trigonal System Crystal Lattice Unit Cell

The rhombohedral lattice, also know as trigonal, is characterized as having all sides equal and all angles equal but none are 90 degrees. The unit cell model below is ~300mm (12") on its longest axis and is ideal for classroom demonstration. Examples of crystals with this structure include calcite and quartz.
