Orbit "Straw" Bonds

The Orbit "straw" bonds come in grey, white & opaque. The grey bonds are the newer version made from a more durable plastic and will last longer than the original green bonds (which are discontinued). They come in various lengths, with 20mm (2cm) being used for H-H, C-H and 30mm (3cm) used for C-C and other bonds. The 50mm (5cm) are used mainly to separate the different layers in graphite. The 35mm bonds are more rigid than the others, come in a bundle of 15 & are used for doing "chair-boat" flips. The 50mm (5cm) white bonds are used principally in place of linear hydrogen atoms to represent hydrogen bonds when building ice.

The bundle of 15 20mm opaque bonds are used with 20mm "wobbly"™ bonds as part of double & triple bonds to build some ring structures.
