Polystyrene Molecule Structure

Polystyrene can be both clear, very stiff and brittle as in petri dishes or very pliable and opaque as in disposable styrofoam cups.

There is currently no dedicated kit for this model but you can build it using our Advanced Student Organic Chemistry Set, 68827W and by adding 14 hydrogens, 34 carbons, 4 20mm bonds and 36 35mm bonds. The number of components required to build this model are listed below. The numbers shown in brackets, e.g. (Qty) are the number of parts that come with the student set. If you are considering building more than one such polymer model, you may wish to consider the larger Class version.
