Simple Organohalogens Built with Set 62053
The models below represent simple organohalogens. By convention, chlorine atoms
are often shown in green. The middle molecule is chloromethane, lower left is trans chloroethene, upper left is
1,1 dichloroethene, upper right is 1,1,1,2 tetrachloroethane, and lower right is cis dichloroethene.
Note that model set 62053 comes with 14 carbons and 12 assorted halogens, so you can build all of these
at once (if you ignore the chlorine is green convention). A variety of organohalogens such as dichloropropane and
dibromopropane is possible using the different colored halogens. |
