Carbon Graphite Structure Model Kit
Graphite typically occurs as a hexagonal lattice structure but can also be found in a rhombohedral form.
The versions, as seen in the models below show the ABAB stacking as seen in the hexagonal type as opposed to the ABC arrangement found in the
rhombohedral form.
The longer bonds used in these models come to those in represent the weaker van der Waals attraction
which allows the layer to move relative to each other relatively easily. You can actually demonstrate this by holding the top & bottom of the model
& squeezing.
