A linen tester is also known as a: thread counter; pick counter; or loupe glass. We have included higher power printers loupes at the bottom of the page since some people use these interchangeably. There are 25.4mm/inch. e.g. a 19mm magnifier is 3/4". Metal Linen Testers The 10X and 8X models are double lens and are good for inspecting coins, stamps and reading microprinting on checks and currency. The 6X model is the most common for textile work & as a promotional product & has room for printing logos. The double lens version is useful for accurately gauging color dot separation.
