15, 20, 30X Triplet Geology Lenses

Triplet lenses offer the best performance in terms of optical clarity and have a relatively large viewing area. A 15X lens may be used for geology field studies & is preferred by some rockhounds. The 20X magnifier can be used to view fungal spores & the 30X for microfractures in jet engine turbine blades. The 20 & 30X magnifiers have a limited depth of field & are NOT recommended for beginners. You should consider buying a lower power 10X geology lens if this is your first loupe.
