Neodymium Rod Magnets

We list cylindrical neodymium magnets separate from other round magnets based on having a height/thickness greater or equal to their diameter.

Some rod magnets can generate a detectable magnetic field at a considerable distance. You can use the Magnaprobe show below to demonstrate this as well as for locating and aligning the magnets.

The 12.5mm x 25mm neodymium cylinder magnet can also be used for a very dramatic demonstration of how an eddy current brake could work. All you need beside the magnet is a 1/2" copper pipe that is at least 12" (30cm) long.
