Steel U Shape Magnet for Simple Motor or Engine

A steel U magnet is often to used to build simple magnet motors called St. Louis motors.

The regular horseshoe magnets are sometimes used in place of bar magnets to demonstrate magnetic attraction since the two poles together are stronger than one. They are best used properties with paper clips or other light objects such as magnet chips.

If it doesn't say "H. Shaw Magnets, Sheffield, England", it does NOT have 6% chrome content!

Note: Do NOT use steel horseshoe/u-shape magnets for repulsion. They will demagnetize almost immediately. Use a neodymium rare earth magnet or a ferrite block magnet instead.
