Strontium Ferrite Magnets

Ferrite magnets are the best compromise for strength and price. Like rare earth magnets, they are magnetized through their thickness and are very brittle. You should not let them snap together since they can shatter on impact.

The axis of magnetization is perpendicular to the page except for the red/blue magnet with the N-S poles as indicated.

The 2 largest blocks we list are often used with conveyor belt assemblies to retrieve metal shards.
