Magnaprobe Magnetic Field Sensors
The Magnaprobe is a fascinating way to demonstrate the three dimensional nature of magnetic fields.
It consists of a small alnico bar magnet that is gimbal mounted (i.e. behaves like a gyroscope) so that it will freely rotate
to map out x, y and z coordinates as you move it around a magnetic source. Both models come with a list of suggested experiments.
Test different rare earth magnet shapes to see how they respond or
investigate electromagnetism in coils using different current intensities.
