Chrome steel horseshoe magnets can demonstrate magnetic properties with paper clips, iron filings and compasses. They will attract and hold far more material than inferior low or no chrome content horseshoe magnets. If it doesn't say "H. Shaw Magnets, Sheffield, England", it does NOT have 6% chrome content!

Note: Do NOT use steel horseshoe/u-shape magnets for repulsion. They will demagnetize almost immediately. Use a ferrite horseshoe magnet instead.
