Urine/Saliva-Water pH Test Strips
| Water is everywhere and essential to all
things living. Absolutely pure, freshly distilled water is pH 7 but in practice, drinking water, whether straight
from the tap or bottled will be around pH 5-7-6.2 since atmospheric CO2 slightly acidifies it. Any of the strips
listed below can test water, urine or saliva. Choose the one that best suits your needs in terms of range (narrow, medium or wide)
& whether you need to measure in steps of 0.5 or 1.0 pH units.
Urine can range from 5.5-7.5; saliva around 6.2-6.8 so either the 5.5-8 or 4.5-10 strips will work. If you buy alkaline/deionized water, it is always wise to test it to be sure it has not been exposed to air.
